SWJ x I Support The Girls

This month, SWJ is teaming up with an amazing organization, I Support The Girls, to collect menstrual products as well as new and gently used bras for those in need.

About I Support The Girls

What They Do

I Support the Girls collects donations of new and gently used bras, and individually sealed tampons and maxi pads and distributes them to girls and women experiencing homelessness across the U.S. and globally. Bras are considered a luxury and wearing the same bra for years causes health problems. Many times living on the streets means having to decide between buying a hot meal or a box of tampons. No one should have to make that choice!

 Who They Help

Whether they be homeless, refugees, in transitional housing, or fleeing domestic violence, women and girls should never have to compromise on dignity. They partner with over 800 vetted organizations to meet the needs of the women they come in contact with. So far, more than 550,000 girls and women have been able to retain their dignity through I Support The Girls' product drop-offs.

 Why They Do It

People experiencing homelessness are stripped of their dignity. People pass them by on the street as if they’re invisible. Every person, regardless of their circumstances, is worthy of honor and respect. We need to treat every human with the respect they deserve. That starts with providing basic necessities for those who lack access or can’t afford it.

Thanks to our amazing customers and friends both locally and out-of-state who graciously donated, we collected 386 tampons, 309 pads, and 144 bras!

We are so thankful for all of your help. If you'd like to learn more about I Support The Girls and see how you can contribute to their mission, click here.

Peace n' love,

Madison & Sierra
